The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars

The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
The newest and the only super car from Canada is heading fast towards its production line. Beauty in the eye of......Canadians. This is a completely homespun supercar that we can be proud of. Early indications point to a vehicle that will be every bit a match for the world's best Super Sport Cars. It is an attempt to disturb the calm of minds of the big three and smaller sports car manufacturers present in North America and abroad.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
Jahong Hur who has founded the company has put his caliber in the designing of the newly developed super car. In the process of doing so, he proved that if someone wants something badly enough, it is always possible to realize that. Thanks to a wealthy Korean businessman, Canada's Multimatic Inc. is now in the business of building exotic sports cars.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
Mr Johang Hur loves cars and wanted transportation evocative of the Le Mans cars of the '60s but suitable for street driving. For the creation he went to Ontario's Multimatic, responsible for no less than building the Mustang Boss 302R for Ford Racing and the Canadian homologation of the Ford GT. They also build the carbon-fiber monocoque passenger cell for the Aston Martin One-77.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
Canada is not exactly a mecca for exotic car creation. We're known more for our Corollas than Europe's Paganis, Bugattis and Koenigseggs. That is, until recently: First came Quebec's Pléthore LC-750 and now, almost out of the blue, the De Macross GT1, the first super sports car from upstart, Vancouver-based automaker De Macross Motors Corporation (DMMC).

Working closely with Multimatic Engineering, a motorsports engineering firm that has worked with the likes of Shelby Automotive and Aston Martin in the past, The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars has created a new mid-engine supercar platform composed of an aluminum monocoque tub structure, with integrated front and rear sub-frame modules for suspension, steering, engine and driveline mounting.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
Multimatic is a Canadian company supplying components, systems and services to the global auto industry. With its headquarters located in Markham, Ontario, it operates several divisions in North America, Europe and Asia, and has manufacturing ties in South America and Australia.

Its core activities lie in the manufacture of stampings, welded assemblies, mechanisms, and suspension components. It is also involved in the design and development of automotive body and chassis systems.

The platform also combines plenty of carbon fiber and has been structurally optimized to provide a stiff and stable platform at the lowest possible weight, while meeting global safety standards. Installed within this structure is an independently adjustable push-rod suspension system similar to that used in F1. There is also a hydraulic anti-roll device similar to that used by the new McLaren MP4-12C supercar.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
Unveiled to the world early this year at the Multimatic headquarters outside of Toronto, the GT1 is no fly-by-night prototype, but a production-ready machine that hits all of the high notes expected of a hand-built, rear-drive super car: aluminum and carbon-fibre construction, power The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars comes from the aforementioned Roush 5.4-liter V8 connected to a six-speed manual, a top-speed near 350 km/h and of course, a million-dollar price tag. The goal is to produce more than 800 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque, enough they think to propel The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars to 62 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars
The Multimatic team is heading to Florida in March to begin fine-tuning the car's dynamics on-track, but will return to the True North, Strong and Free once the snow disappears. The company has a long-term relationship with Calabogie Motorsports Park west of Ottawa as a location for homegrown vehicle development work.
The De Macross GT1, Canada's Supercar The Exotic Sports Cars will likely begin sales of the GT1 towards the middle of this year through what Wang describes as a "one-on-one type of sales and delivery process you'd expect from this caliber of car." The on-sale date will coincide with a world tour to introduce the globe to Canada's newest super car.

2011 Joss Super Cars JP1 Australian Sport Cars
The JOSS supercar was a concept first penned by Matt Thomas in 2006. Thomas’ extensive experience as an automotive designer in Europe, Australia and North America has seen the project progress from a dream to reality over the past decade. The team hopes the first Australian supercar will be available in Australia from 2011. You may be thinking this is the Mclaren F1, it has the same shaped nose and headlights. It has the same rear round tail lights and even the doors open up the same but its not. This is infact a new supercar from Australian based, Joss Developments Limited and its called the Joss JP1.
2011 Joss Super Cars JP1, Australia’s sports car design is good, seen from the butterfly-style doors, the front of the 2011 Joss Super Cars JP1 Australian Sport Cars which is almost like McLaren, but more modest, and the rear is more like a Ferrari. The Melbourne-based firm behind the Joss JP1, Australia’s first production supercar, has released a teaser image of the car as the project nears completion. Under the black cloth lies a 1:1-scale clay model which will will be used to determine the supercar’s final aerodynamic design with the finishing touches to be applied at the company’s Advanced Automotive Design Studio in Melbourne. The overall design will adhere to the classic form of a mid-engined GT sports car while underneath the mechanics will resemble a high-performance race car.

2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R

2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R
At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show Koenigsegg is presenting the brand new Koenigsegg Agera R - Quicker than lightning! The name Agera set the tone for the new project. Agera means "to take action" in Swedish. It is also short for the ancient Greek word Ageratos which means "ageless". These two are very suitable meanings, for the car building the future of Koenigsegg.
2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R
The 2012 Koenigsegg Agera is designed with the minimalistic "less is more" philosophy in mind. This philosophy means that the shape of the car has to be purely functional with no added features except those purely needed to meet regulation, added safety, ergonomics, practicality and aerodynamics. Koenigsegg believes that if this philosophy is followed, the car will also be beautiful as it is purely purposeful.
2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R
All in all the production version of the Koenigsegg Agera is created to take the Koenigsegg experience to the next level both on the road and the track, still maintaining the largest luggage space in the industry in combination with the unique Koenigsegg door system and detachable/stow-able hardtop. There are several differences between the pre-production car previously shown and the production versions. For example, the engine and gearbox configurations are different and some revolutionary interior, chassis and aerodynamic features adorn the production version of the Agera that has never been shown before.
The new car design 2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R super speed racer car displayed in Geneva Motor Show 2011 is a very special customer, set to be delivered to its owner’s new Norwegian straight after the show closes. It is equipped with a special section with a Thule roof integrated carbon fiber ski-box containing two pairs of skis Koenigsegg.
2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R
At the 2011 Geneva Motor show, Koenigsegg presents the Koenigsegg winter package – the first lifestyle packages offered from Koenigsegg. The main element of this package is the exceptional Lightning Roof Box System. The Lightning Roof Box is developed together with the Swedish rack and roof box manufacturer Thule. The high performance lightweight box is made completely from carbon fibre and has been through several iterations of CFD simulation to ensure it is safe up to 300 km/h, making it the fastest roof box in the world.
The supercar 2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R is built with a monocoque carbon to provide maximum rigidity and light weight; It is so structurally sound that does not require an annex roof, allowing the roof as a removable Panel which can be stored away. Koenigsegg hasn’t published performance numbers for R Agera yet, but from tires rated at 260 km/h and horse-like body structure and range as the poison Hennessey, its 0-60 mph time to be approximately 2.5 seconds and a top speed around 250 km/h on a double clutch 7.
2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R is powered by 5.0L twin-turbo V8 making a neck snapping 1,115-hp and a maximum torque of 885 lb-ft on E85 fuel. Koenigsegg has its own engine lab, with simulation programs, rapid prototyping machines, engine and chassis dynamometers, and a 1.7 km test track adjacent the factory enabling Koenigsegg to take the cars to 0-320-0 km/h at any time. Furthermore, a 25 minute drive away from the Koenigsegg Factory there is Knutstorp Racetrack, which is described by many as a miniature Nordschleife.
2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R
The engine 2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R are mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gear case and we’re pretty aye that cuts the 0 to 62 miles per hour time belt down to something that’s very impressive. Here Koenigsegg can put the engine and car through serious testing and make sure they work in perfect harmony. This gives Koenigsegg unique possibilities to develop technologies normally exclusive to much larger companies.
These are extraordinary numbers considering the size and reliability of the engine without forsaking drivability or flexibility. This is truly downsizing, without drawbacks. These characteristics make it one of the most flexible and easy to use hypercar engines in the world.
The 2012 Koenigsegg Sports Cars Agera R is proportionate, compact and muscular. Its timeless, efficient and distinctive shape is truly a testament to time. The original shape and concept of the Koenigsegg CC, created 15 years ago, is still valid, fresh and highly competitive today. The Agera manage to stay true to the original philosophy, shape and size of the original CC. At the same time, it looks, feels and performs like something belonging to the future.
The price of the optional 'R' package, on top of a normal $1,400,000 Agera, is $211,000 at current exchange rates, but that looks like something of a bargain compared to the $270,000 Koenigsegg charges for creating a bare carbon car.

2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class

2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class
Speed is great, but a true hypercar can dance with the best of them. Elegant and muscular the Pagani Huayra merges the past, present and future in a timeless interpretation of automotive art. Pagani have officially unveiled their 2012 Huayra. The hypercar is named after Aymara god Huayra Tata, god of wind. Aerodynamics are a big part of the new car which will be displayed publically for the first time at the Geneva Auto Salon 2011. The styling of the car was perfected over the course of 5 years to find each line's beginning and end. During this study, eight scale models were created, as well as two 1:1 models, each an evolution of the previous in a never ending quest to perfect the form and refining the substance.
The new central monocoque on the 2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class is an entirely new design made from carbontitanium. However, with the gull wing doors cutting deep into the roof, much research was focused on achieving the highest levels of rigidity through the application of new advanced composite materials and technologies first tested on the Zonda R.
2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class
The never ending quest for weight reduction resulted also into the combination of structural and non-structural or aesthetical elements. An example is the integration of all ventilation air ducts into the monocoque's structure, making the use of additional parts and ducts unnecessary. The result of this attention to detail is a vehicle weighing 1.350 kg making the Pagani Huayra the lightest sportscar in its class.
2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class
Mercedes-AMG provides the heart for the 2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class. The 60 degree 12 cylinder turbocharged engine with a displacement of 5980 cm3 has been developed not just to meet the strictest technical and quality requirements, but also to give the car its many faces. The calm and harmony of driving one of the world's most refined GT car is interrupted when the driver calls upon the Pagani Huayra to unleash its 700 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque. The turbos have been studied to offer immediate response to the slightest throttle input, giving the driver full control over the engine at any rpm and preventing unwanted delays in the delivery of power.
The engine's systems have been designed and tested to stand up to the most adverse conditions of temperature and performance. The 2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class has been subjected to the highs of Death Valley and the lows of the Arctic Circle. The two lateral radiators are positioned in the front to guarantee the best cooling efficiency of the intercoolers placed over the cylinder heads. Dry sump lubrication ensures an optimal oil feed to the engine even when the car is subjected to the most extreme lateral accelerations. It also regulates the oil flow so that only the necessary amount of lubricant is actually pumped into the engine from the external oil tank, reducing the friction caused by an excessive volume of lubricant inside the engine sump. An oil/water heat exchanger reduces warm-up times by heating the engine lubricant during cold start and keeps engine coolant and lubricant levels at steady operational temperatures. Extensive weight saving programs led to ingenious yet simple solutions.
2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class
The M158 engine is homologated to meet the strictest environmental regulations, EU5 and LEV2. Despite the increase of power compared to the other Mercedes-AMG V12 engines developed for Pagani, CO2 emissions as well as the fuel consumption have been reduced, to make the Pagani Huayra class leading amongst 12 cylinder sports cars with values that are respective of much smaller vehicles in the market. The two stage fuel supply system features two microprocessor controlled pumps feeding fuel to the engine with the second pump only activated when necessary, thus reducing the energy required to run the fuel pumps and eliminates the waste of excessive fuel being transported and heated in the fuel lines. This efficiency combined with a large 85 liter fuel tank ensure Pagani Huayra's grand touring ability.
The power and prodigious torque generated by Pagani Huayra's V12 are transferred to the wheels through a transverse sequential seven speed gearbox and a dual plate clutch and the complete gearbox weighs only 96 kg. Keeping the weight of the rear overhang as low as possible has been a priority as we aim for a neutral behavior at the limit. A further benefit of this layout is a better behavior of the car during a rear impact. A dual clutch system was evaluated but ultimately not selected as it would have increased the weight by approximately 70kg, thus negating any minor improvement in shift-time. Xtrac already supplied the gearbox for the Zonda R and so it was the natural choice for the development of a new high performance gearbox.
Pirelli say "Power is nothing without control" and to assure complete control for the driver Pirelli has developed the bespoke P Zero tires, specifically for the 2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class. The Pirelli engineers were faced with a demanding task, combining road holding for excitement behind the steering wheel and lower rolling resistance to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. These P Zero tires are built in a dedicated MIRS™ (Modular Integrated Robotized System) facility, dedicated to the production of ultrahigh performance tires and are at the forefront of what is technically possible, suited to top speeds above 370 kph as well as to lateral forces exceeding 1,5 G.
2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class
The aerodynamic concept of the Pagani Huayra is that of a wing. The vehicle can modify the properties of this wing by varying the front ride height, which can be adjusted dynamically, and by adjusting the 4 control flaps on each of the four corners of the car. The goal is to have a neutral vehicle behavior under all conditions and control body roll via aerodynamic means. The behavior of the flaps is managed by a dedicated control unit that is fed information from the ABS and ECU, which pass information about the car's speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position.
The system improves aerodynamic efficiency in a variety of driving conditions, where a low drag coefficient is not the determining factor. During braking, for example, the rear flaps and the front suspension are raised to counteract the weight transfer and balance the weight distribution between front and rear axles, allowing a better use of the rear brake force.
Another vital design tenant for the Huayra project was to ensure clean airflow over the body of the car. In addition to the downforce generated by the flaps and body, two high negative pressure areas were designed into the shape of the underbody and the diffuser at the rear, thus enhancing the aerodynamic stability and guaranteeing the 2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class downforce under all circumstances. As soon as the doors are closed the Pagani Huayra transports the occupants to a new dimension; a world that pleases and surprises the senses. Having everything at arm's length is not close enough for a vehicle with the capabilities of the Pagani Huayra.
2012 Pagani Supercars Huayra The Lightest Sports Cars In Its Class
A Pagani is able to present drivers with state of the art solutions while still drawing on the rich history that precedes it. The ever present emphasis is on a living breathing being rather than a digital one. The high definition central touchscreen is the heart of the vehicle infotainment system, controlling audio functions, satellite navigation, secondary vehicle functions and Bluetooth phone. To this date five prototypes have been built which have been conducting road tests for the past 4 years. Currently, over half a million kilometers have been covered by our prototypes and before entering the US market we will have reached one million test kilometers.
